Description:
We are seeking a dedicated and student-focused School Psychologist to support students in grades Kindergarten through 8th grade. The primary focus of this role is to support reevaluation planning, conduct psychological and educational evaluations, and assist with determining eligibility for Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and Section 504 services.
The ideal candidate will collaborate with the Special Education Coordinator, school leadership, teachers, and support staff to provide behavioral interventions, counseling, risk assessments, and comprehensive student support services.
Key Responsibilities:Plan and conduct student reevaluations and psychological and educational assessments.
Complete evaluations to support eligibility determinations and services under IEPs and Section 504 plans.
Provide behavioral interventions and counseling to support students' academic, social, emotional, and behavioral needs.
Conduct risk assessments and help develop appropriate intervention and support strategies.
Collaborate with educators, administrators, families, and special education personnel to address individual student needs.
Participate in evaluation planning meetings, eligibility reviews, and multidisciplinary team meetings.
Maintain accurate, timely, and confidential evaluation reports and student documentation.
Support the development and implementation of strategies that promote positive student outcomes.
Appropriate School Psychologist certification or licensure required for practice in South Carolina.
Experience conducting psychoeducational evaluations, reevaluations, and eligibility assessments preferred.
Knowledge of IEP and Section 504 processes, behavioral interventions, and student support services.
Strong communication, collaboration, assessment, and report-writing skills.
Ability to work effectively with students, families, educators, and multidisciplinary teams.
